So what is HTML?

HTML is the code that defines webpages and their content. Simply put, the words that you're reading right now were inserted into the HTML file for this page. That's really all it is!
And as you can see, although it's cool to have your words online, there's not much you can do except for speak and hope you're heard (and that's why social media exists.)
Later on you'll learn how to add some more PIZZAZZ to the page, but for now, this is what you get.

What does HTML look like?

HTML is primarily written with various bracketed statements such as <br>, <h1>, and <div>.
These bracketed "tags" generally come in pairs, with an opening tag (<html>) and a closing tag (</html>)
